SLITTING LINES

We refer to any classical wastewater treatment plant as a slitting plant, which flocculates wastewater by means of one or more chemicals.

This product is a specially formulated powdered agent containing both chemical components for the separation reaction and polymers for the crosslinking of the particles.

This product is a specially tailored powdery agent that contains both chemical components for the separation reaction and polymers for crosslinking the particles.

The wastewater(s) will be collected in one or more collection tanks. In most cases, an agitator is installed in these tanks in order to achieve good mixing and to avoid the sedimentation of solids. Thereafter, the treatment is carried out in the treatment stage. Depending on the throughput, it is treated with a batch tank or a continuous tank. By adding the flocculation chemicals, flocculation occurs in the wastewater depending on the pH value. After the addition of flocculants, the resulting flakes tend usually sediment well, so that the clear phase can be derived via a gravel filter.

After the gravel filter, the pH value to be recorded is checked in a final inspection. The thin sludge, which remains after the deduction of the clear phase, is then dewatered by means of a chamber filter press.

The filtrate from the chamber filter press is often returned for safety treatment. Instead of chamber filter presses, the WAP also uses decanters. The advantage lies in the extremely low operating and maintenance costs. Should it sometimes come to waste batches in the treatment of wastewater, the decanter does not need to be elaborately cleaned as with filter presses, but rather the flocculation can merely be optimized.
